Book July and August by the end of January. What two charter fleets actually publish about paying, cancelling and early-booking discounts, and the order I would book the skipper and the boat in.

A charter security deposit runs from €2,500 to €14,200 depending on the boat and the fleet. Here is what it covers, what a damage waiver really costs, how deposit insurance differs, and how to get the money back.

Everyone quotes the boat. Nobody quotes the rest. Here is every line that lands after the charter fee - cleaning, linen, deposits, berths, food and tips - with real 2026 figures and one worked week.

Everyone says the shoulder season is cheaper. On published 2026 pricelists a September week is about 13% off the boat, and only about 9% off the whole trip. Here is where the money actually falls, and what the weather does in return.

A licensed skipper publishes his real numbers: boat, skipper, fuel, harbours and food — what a skippered week in Greece actually costs, line by line.
