I am Gediminas Vengrauskas — a certified Coastal Skipper for sailing and motor vessels up to 24 m LOA, licensed for day and night passages up to 12 NM offshore, with ICC and VHF radio certificates. I skipper charter weeks, day sails and coastal deliveries. Home waters: Greece and Croatia. If you need me somewhere else — I will be there.
Six years of sailing and about 1,000 nautical miles logged. The boats I have skippered: the Bali Catspace and Lagoon 42 catamarans, and the Beneteau Oceanis 46 and Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 42 monohulls — catamarans are where I want to spend 2027. Waters I know from the helm: the Ionian, the Saronic Gulf and the Cyclades in Greece, Dalmatia in Croatia, and the Baltic. I also hold a worldwide motorboat licence.

As of October 2026 every week of the 2027 season is still available except 15–22 May; the last week of August I confirm on request. July and August go first — tell me your dates and you have my answer within 24 hours.
When people hire me
Skippered charter weeks
You choose the yacht (I help you pick a good one from a reputable fleet), I sail it and run your week — navigation, moorings, weather calls, taverna tips. You relax; nothing is your problem.
Day sails & events
A single day under sail for a family, a couple, a small team — swim stops, sunset legs, celebrations. Short notice is often fine.
Coastal deliveries
Repositioning a boat between harbours, islands or seasons — up to 24 m, day and night within coastal limits. Planned honestly around weather windows, delivered with a full report.

A professional aboard your own yacht: passage support, manoeuvring practice in real harbours, building the confidence to go further on your own.

You receive one written quote covering everything. No surprises on the dock.
Croatia: the same fee and terms. You charter the boat and hire me as your skipper directly — my Lithuanian certificates are on Croatia’s table of recognised foreign certificates for bareboat-chartered yachts up to 30 GT.

Where I sail
Home waters are the Greek islands and the Croatian Adriatic. Deliveries and charters elsewhere in the Mediterranean — and beyond — are welcome: tell me the harbour and the dates.
How booking works
- Tell me your plan. Dates, waters, boat (if you have one), crew. Two sentences are enough.
- Get a straight answer. Within 24 hours: whether I am right for the job, a route or boat suggestion, and one written quote.
- Confirm and sail. A simple written agreement locks the dates. Then the sea does the rest.
FAQ
Do you skipper catamarans?
Yes. The Bali Catspace and the Lagoon 42 so far, and catamarans are my priority for 2027.
Is your food included in the fee?
My meals come from the crew’s provisioning, the standard arrangement on charters.
Do I pay your travel?
To the Athens or Lefkada base it is included in my weekly fee. Other bases at cost, agreed in advance.
How many guests can you take?
Up to 12 people under my licence; the boat sets the comfortable number.
Which weeks of 2027 are open?
