This website, sailcurrent.com, is operated by Gediminas Vengrauskas (“SailCurrent”, “I”, “me”), Lithuania. I keep data collection to the minimum needed to answer your enquiries and run this site. Last updated: 10 July 2026.

What I collect

When you send an enquiry (contact form, email to info@sailcurrent.com, or WhatsApp), I receive the details you choose to share: typically your name, contact details, travel dates, group size and message. The site itself collects standard technical data through Squarespace, the platform that hosts it: pages visited, approximate location (country/city level), device and browser type, and cookies needed for the site to function and for basic visitor analytics.

Why I collect it

To reply to you, prepare quotes, plan and deliver booked trips, meet legal and accounting obligations, and understand (in aggregate) how visitors use the site so it can be improved. I do not sell personal data, run advertising networks on this site, or send marketing emails without your consent.

Legal bases (GDPR)

Responding to an enquiry and preparing a booking: performance of a contract or steps before one. Accounting records: legal obligation. Site analytics: legitimate interest / your cookie consent, depending on your choice in the cookie banner.

Who else touches the data

Squarespace, Inc. hosts this website and processes visitor data on my behalf under its own data-processing terms. If you contact me by WhatsApp, Meta’s WhatsApp terms and privacy policy also apply to that conversation. Charter bookings shared with a yacht fleet include only what the fleet needs (typically crew names for the manifest — always with your knowledge).

How long I keep it

Enquiries that do not become bookings: up to 2 years, then deleted. Booking and invoicing records: as long as tax law requires. You can ask me to delete your enquiry data at any time.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data; object to or restrict processing; and receive your data in a portable format. Write to info@sailcurrent.com and I will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority (in Lithuania: the State Data Protection Inspectorate, vdai.lrv.lt).

Cookies

Squarespace sets cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work, and — only if you accept them in the banner — analytics and functional cookies. You can change your choice anytime via “Manage cookies” in the site footer banner, or clear cookies in your browser.
